This service can provide you with nine months confidential, no cost advice and guidance from a mental health professional โ€“ to help you cope with work while you manage a mental health condition such as anxiety, depression, or stress.

Free Webinars

Able Futures host a variety of wellbeing webinars throughout the year. HR will share details of the webinars with all staff via the OG Teams channel.

๐ŸตTime to Talk Sessions๐Ÿต

As a company, we host regular Time to Talk Sessions throughout the year in the office. All staff are welcome to join for tea, snacks, and wellbeing related conversation and activities. We post the details of scheduled Time to Talk sessions in Teams (Oxford Global โ€“ GLOBE). Please keep an eye out for these posts, and feel free to speak to your manager or HR if you have any questions.

All staff are welcome to make use of the books in our OG library. We have a variety of books (fiction & non-fiction), as well as a great selection on the topic of mental health & general wellbeing. The OG library is located in the Boardroom.

๐Ÿ‹๏ธGym Memberships - Oxford Brookes๐Ÿ‹๏ธ

On passing probation, all permanent staff can use Brookes sport facilities in Botley and Headington on the company membership scheme. With the scheme, staff have access to:

  • Free access to campus gym anytime
  • Discounts on facility bookings and lessons
  • Fitness classes for free, 1-week advance booking
  • Free swimming and steam room / sauna
  • Free squash, badminton and table tennis courts, 1-week advance booking

To sign up, please visit the website, click โ€œJoin Nowโ€ and register as a "Pay As You Go" member at https://www.brookes.ac.uk/brookes-sport/memberships/pay-as-you-go or in person at either Brookes Sport Botley/Headington. 

Please then email your membership number to r.hickman@oxfordglobal.com and we will set-up your membership on our scheme. You can then collect your card on-site at either campus.

  • Your membership card It is strictly for your use only, and all staff must swipe their cards when entering the facilities.
  • Gym/sports facilities lunch breaks will always be 90 minutes starting at 12.00 and finishing at 1.30pm. The extra half hour must be made up on the same day.
  • Max of 3 gym/sports facilities lunch breaks may be taken by any one person per week.
  • Any costs not provided for by the company membership are your responsibility.

๐Ÿ Hybrid Working๐Ÿ 

Recognising the benefits that working from home can bring to staff, including a better work-life balance, the Company allow all permanent staff to work from home on a hybrid basis (meaning that staff can split working between home and the office). On passing probation, staff are able to begin working remotely 2 days a week (this is at the discretion of your manager, and all teams have set core days in the office).

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธReturn to work/welfare meetings๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ

When you return to work following an instance of sick leave, your manager will meet with you to carry out a return to work meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss in more detail the reason for your sick leave, check you are fit to work, and to understand if you need any additional support for your return to work. During this meeting, your manager will also refer to your sickness absence levels for the last 12 month rolling period and will discuss with you any potential concerns, triggers, or trends.
